Welcome to the Turfk...
whatīs this "o" with the dots on it supposed to mean, anyway?

Never mind about the dots - enjoy. The monthly magazine Turfkönig is named after a classy German racehorse, which died after just a short career at stud. His name meaning "King of Turf" - as you might have guessed - suits the purpose of this website nicely (so I hope) and thatīs about the only connection there is between the horse and the site.

You wonīt find any "Brisnet" or "Daily Racing Form"-style information on German horse racing here. Like the dots on the "o" suggest, Turfkönig is mainly supposed to be fun. Yet we strive to surround all the fun with bits and pieces of information - which you probably wonīt be able to use, because itīs in German ;-). Donīt despair, give it a try. Itīs not that hard at all. For example, the German word for this magazine style is "infotainment". See?

By the way: The horsesī names used as title for each page serve purely as decoration. Having a page title say "Sunday Silence" doesnīt mean thereīs Sunday Silenceīs stallion record on that page. Rather, thereīs a connection between the theme of the page and the literal meaning of the horseīs name, as on the current page. I just chose to use them because I like some of these names so much.
